This chapter gives you an overview of the administrative interface of Drupal. If Drupal were a car, this would be showing you how to adjust the mirrors and seats to make sure your driving experience is comfortable.
Managing Content: Nodes, Blocks, and Comments
In this chapter, well get into the basics of managing content in Drupal. Youll learn how to add and edit content as well as how to work with menus, blocks, and comments.
Intermediate Content Management: Types and Tags
Two of Drupals differentiating features are its ability to create custom content types beyond pages and articles, and its sophisticated taxonomy system for organizing content. This lesson covers how to work with both of these powerful and useful features.
Visual Design and Themes
This chapter goes over the basics of making a Drupal site look and feel the way you want it to, first by going over the default theme in Drupal 7, and then by introducing the notions of base themes and subthemes.
Extending Drupal via Modules
While Drupal is very capable out of the downloadable box, there is a lot of customization you can do with modules. This chapter looks at what modules are and how to install them, and demonstrates several specific modules that are useful for the website were building in this course.
