Gnome Partition Editor (GParted) Live v0.10.0-3 | 109.75 Mb
GParted is an industrial-strength package for creating, destroying, resizing, moving, checking and copying partitions and file systems on them. It will be useful for creating space for new operating systems, reorganizing disk usage, copying data residing on hard disks and mirroring one partition with another (disk image). Supported file systems ext2, ext3, ext4, FAT16, FAT32, HFS, HFS +, JFS, NTFS, ReiserFS, Reiser4, XFS.
GParted uses GNU libparted to detect and control devices and partition tables.
Some (optional) filesystem tools provide support for filesystems not included in libparted.
These optional packages will be detected at runtime and do not require a rebuild of GParted.
GParted allows you to easily manage partitions on the disk:
Creating a partition table (for example, MS-DOS or GPT)
Creating, moving, copying, resizing, checking, labels, and delete partitions
Enable and Disable partition flags (eg, downloading, or hidden)
Section Alignment mebibyte (MIB) or the traditional boundaries of the cylinders
Trying to rescue data from lost partitions
GParted supports the following storage devices:
Hard drives (eg, SATA, IDE and SCSI)
Flash memory devices such as USB-memory cards and solid-state disk (SSD)
RAID-devices (hardware RAID, BIOS RAID motherboard, as well as software Linux RAID)
All sectors of the dimensions (eg, devices 512, 1024, 2048, 4096 and more sectors)
