Work with remote data increasingly common in our lives. Home LAN, Dropbox. All of these things for many long become accustomed. Software developers, we are pleased to offer a variety of programs that should help lead to a common mind all these media and cloud services.
This program allows you to mount remote storage media (FTP, WebDAV, Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon S3, etc.) as usual drive, which will appear in the Finder together with other disks.
The benefit of this is obvious - any program can work directly with the remote repository files just as if they were right there on your hard disk or USB-stick. That is, each program gets their hands on cloud storage. For example, you can upload images to your blog bypassing some Transmit, to incite them to Hazel and other useful utilities.
Owning a small SSD-drives like the opportunity to work with Dropbox directly, without duplicating all the information on the hard disk. ExpanDrive also be useful if you want to have access to multiple accounts in Dropbox.
In version 4 the synchronization happens in the background, as in Dropbox. This means that you can continue to work with the file even when ExpanDrive files synchronized with the server. Sufficiently high speed, even on public WiFi and via VPN virtually no delays.
